In August 2015, Noble rescued two mares from years of neglect.  They arrived at Noble in very bad shape.  Suffering from starvation and in dire need of medical care and hoof treatment, these mares were in need of a safe, caring home.  Seeing an animal of any kind in this kind of condition is simply heartbreaking.

Since they're arrival at Noble, they've been eating non-stop and the dry ground is proving to be a good start towards better hooves.  We'll have  couple months to help them gain weight before the start of winter, but they'll certainly need blankets and additional feed to stay warm and healthy.  Their diet will progress as they gain weight and begin the healing process.
